The Making of Roland V-Drums 7 Series Sounds

The new Roland V-Drums 7 Series gives drummers two ways to play: a core onboard sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW) and DW Soundworks software for computer-based drumming. Crafted from a hand-picked selection of the world’s finest drum sets, the V71 module library delivers the detail, punch, and sonic quality found in the most expensive computer collections.

Sampling for DW Soundworks and V-Drums Instrument Expansions come from the same sampling session. Whether you’re experiencing sounds via DW Soundworks software on a computer or listening to sounds in the module, you’re hearing the same acoustic instruments recorded in the highest quality.

In this video, go behind the scenes of the sampling sessions at the DW factory in Oxnard, California. Learn about the process of drum sampling and hear insights from the team about the wide array of multi-sampled instruments.
