Muse | Sequencer Basics

In this video we dip our toes into the SEQUENCER of Muse and start building sequences from scratch.

We begin by pressing SEQ in the PROGRAMMER to navigate the stored sequences in the SEQUENCER as well as use SEQ BANK to access additional banks of sequences. TEMPO and CLOCK DIV data is stored per-sequence and is shown on-screen. Pressing REC lets us quickly build up a sequence and PLAY plays it back. With REC enabled while the SEQUENCER is running allows us to change the notes in our sequence by playing live or enter rests with INIT. Muse’s bi-timbral nature allows us allocate sequence data to either timbre, essentially allowing for multi-track recording. We look at how to overdub onto our sequence by holding SHIFT and pressing REC while the sequence plays to overdub notes on top of our sequence. We also begin to explore using the STEP view to quickly edit a sequence or dive in to its deep per-note editing capabilities.
