Recalling TouchMix Factory Instrument Presets - Quick Tip

In this quick tip video, Golden shows off how to quickly and easily recall any of the powerful factory instrument and microphone presets and a TouchMix digital mixer.

Let me show you how to recall QSC Factory
Instrument Presets on a TouchMix.
These are super useful in two scenarios;
For those who haven’t yet learned
how to EQ an instrument,
or for those who need a starting point
to work from
so they can quickly get dialed in.
First, select
the channel you would like to use.
Select the Presets tab.
In the Instruments
window, select your choice of instrument.
In the Type window, you can narrow down
your choice of that instrument.
In the Preset Name window,
you can further narrow down
the type of mic
and processing to be applied.
If you’re not entirely sure about the
preset settings that will be used,
select the Preset Info button for a more detailed
description of what will be applied.
Then select Recall.
An EQ has been added to the channel.
In many of the instrument
presets, dynamics
like compression
and a noise gate may be applied as well.
At this point,
you can adjust to your taste.
Perhaps you’ll want to save your changes
as a User Preset.
If you’re not quite sure what to do,
then just stay with the Factory Preset.
It will sound great!
