Roland V-Drums Quiet Design Noise Comparison (VQD106)

Roland V-Drums Quiet Design is the world’s quietest drum kit. Seventy-five percent quieter than traditional V-Drums kits, every element is carefully engineered to reduce pad-strike volume and isolate all your kinetic drumming energy to prevent its escape into adjoining spaces.

The TD-07DMK represents a traditional V-Drums kit with all-mesh pads and our most-popular compact stand design. In the video, we measure both types of noise—in-room pad noise and vibration transferred to lower levels in the same space.

The mics are isolated to provide a true representation of volume reduction in the space used within the video. You will only hear the under-floor mic when comparing noise transfer to the downstairs area, and the upper floor mics are heard when comparing the pad noise. We have intentionally avoided microphone sound post-production, so you can hear a true representation of the recorded sound.
