For Danz CM the Minimoog Model D has always been more than just a synthesizer. Years after parting ways with her Voyager, getting the chance to travel to Asheville and build a Minimoog at the Moog factory became a full-circle moment.

“There’s something alive about it,” she says. “It’s not clinical sounding. It has this warm 70s tone that makes you feel like you’re creating something important.”

You’re a musician, not a computer programmer. Whether you’re a keyboard player who wants to fire up a searing solo, a guitarist looking for that perfect atmospheric pad, a drummer wanting to trigger massive electronic textures, or a vocalist needing a lush harmonic bed, you shouldn’t have to learn “synth science” just to get a great sound. Meet ELEMENT One—the 8-voice virtual-analog synthesizer designed to feel like an instrument, not a science project.

Clear vs Coated vs Vintage Ambassador Drumheads

Clear vs Coated vs Vintage Ambassador Drumheads

Video by Remo Inc. via YouTube

Ambassador drumheads typically feature a single-ply, 10-mil film. Considered by many to be an ideal combination of tonality and durability, Ambassador heads have a wide tuning range and excellent response at all tension levels. Ambassador Coated is the most recorded drumhead for toms and is a favorite among jazz drummers. Ambassador Clear provides the truest drum sound of any synthetic drumhead and is favored by legendary drummers Simon Phillips and Todd Sucherman. It is also the world’s most popular tom resonant head due to its tone and projection. Ambassador Vintage Coated is the original version created before 10-mil film became available. Featuring two plies of 7.5mil +3-mil, it has a subdued tone with significantly reduced sustain.
