Heritage Audio introduces i73® PRO family as first-ever USB-C audio interfaces with built-in Class A 73-style preamps.
12-In / 16-Out USB-C interface with two built-in pure Class A transformer coupled 73 style preamps is finally a reality, making the Full Analog Experience of the Golden Era of recording available to everyone, everywhere and anywhere.
The i73® PRO EDGE aims to provide musicians, producers and audio engineers with an easy path to that cherished analog experience that has inspired music creation since the early 70’s. The i73® PRO Edge incorporates the same Class A transformer-balanced circuitry as Heritage Audio’s classic 73 style preamps, providing the end user with the ability to track with all that classic mojo and vibe but, for the first time, straight from the i73® PRO Edge to a computer.
As with all of Heritage Audio’s 73 style preamps, there are three options for input, so whether the end user wants to run vocals through the MIC preamp with up to 70dBs of gain, an electric guitar/bass through the fast, dynamic JFET DI or the clean LINE inputs, the i73® PRO Edge allows the user to route whatever the signal may be on to a DAW with true studio quality.
By adding 2 extra LINE inputs, 2 stereo monitor outputs and 2 state of the art headphone amps the i73® PRO Edge is arguably the smartest choice as the centerpiece of the studio for any recording musician or music producer.
The i73® PRO Edge even allows to connect eight additional channels via ADAT IN/OUT.
But a 73 style Class A preamp is just the first step in getting that Full Analog Experience we were seeking… a low latency monitoring mixing console has been developed from the ground up so the user always hears what’s needed, either through your speakers or headphones, each with their own, independent configurable mix within the Heritage Audio MIXER running inside the i73® PRO EDGE.
In addition, all i73® PRO interfaces come packed with a growing collection of DSP powered recording effects modeled after Heritage Audio’s own outboard and Heritage Audio’s private collection of vintage gear.
These unique DSP powered audio effects are also supplied in native form with easy recall function so everyone can capture tracks into their DAW (both processed and unprocessed) and complete the job taking advantage of a modern home studio workflow.
