PART 1 Sound Experimentation with Jamie Lidell using ARP2600m, Nagra IVS, Theremin, & The

We can count on Jamie Lidell (of @HANGINGOUTWITHAUDIOPHILES) to get some really awesome sound explorations & experimentation while using some incredible gear!

In this first video of a 2 part performance, Jamie recorded loops onto a Nagra IVS, with the Neumann binaural microphone head serving as the sole input to the tape machine. The sonic landscape crafted by the 2600m resonates from the unique wooden marvel dubbed "La Voile” by La Voix du Luthier, a French artisanal company renowned for its wooden speaker craftsmanship. In this auditory symphony, Lidell’s voice dances into one ear of the mic while the 2600m orchestrates its magic in the other. The resulting loop, captured on tape in a mesmerizing sound-on-sound fashion, unveils an unparalleled fusion. Jamie uses the theremin’s CV output to control the VCA intensity of the 2600m via the ring mod input. With the ability to adjust the synths impact to the mix, with unrestricted pitch control, the oscillators infuse an earthy, textured quality into the sound, crafting a captivating sonic blend.
