The RP technology planar diaphragm driver, which has been improved since 1974, has a newly developed planar diaphragm that is larger than the conventional RP driver. In addition to in-creasing the number of magnets that sandwich the diaphragm and adopting a newly designed pattern shape for the printed coil, the magnetic circuit components have been redesigned to optimize the magnetic flux distribution, thereby suppressing unwanted resonance in the diaphragm and enabling a sharp response in the rise and fall of the sound.
This simultaneously achieves high sensitivity, smooth frequency response, and excellent transient characteristics, enabling accurate and delicate reproduction from heavy bass to high frequencies, thereby realizing the ability to express a clear sound image in space with a clear sense of locali-zation.
1974年以来改良を重ねてきたRPテクノロジー・プラナー・ダイアフラム・ドライバーは、従来のRPドライバーよりも大型のプレーナー・ダイアフラムを新開発。振動板を挟むマグネットの数を増やし、プリントコイルに新設計のパターン形状を採用したほか、磁気回路部品を再設計して磁束分布を最適化することで、振動板の不要共振を抑え、音の立ち上がりと立ち下がりのシャープなレスポンスを可能にしている。
これにより、高感度、滑らかな周波数特性、優れた過渡特性を同時に実現し、重低音から高域まで正確かつ繊細な再生を可能にし、定位感のあるクリアな音像空間を表現する能力を実現した。
