One of the exciting things about additive synthesis is you’re never finished. There’s always some further detail of the physical reality of a sound/material/instrument to pursue. By adding sine waves to each other at various frequencies and amplitudes, you can create some startlingly textured and organic-sounding patches in Phase Plant. And the more interested you are in the science, the more willing you are to read up on the acoustic properties of things, the further you can go.
