When pitching samples down, you can run out of crisp high frequencies and end up with a muffled, filtered sound. The true solution to this is to record at high sample rates with an ultrasonic microphone, capable of recording frequencies well beyond the range of human hearing. But in a pinch, if you don’t have the right gear, or are working with pre-recorded material, try this janky technique to fake it.
