Selective picking is all about playing one note with your picking hand and then hammering on different notes with your fretting hand.
Let’s break it down:
🎸 Start by plucking the open G string, keeping it muted. Then, while still muted, hammer on the E, D, and C power chords.
🎸 Begin with the open G, then add the hammer-ons to create a triplet rhythm!
**Remember, you’re only picking the open G string, not the power chord**
🎸 Once you’re comfortable, move to the D and then the C power chords.
