Watch as LA-based production duo The ANMLS (The Weeknd, French Montana, Belly) cook up a spooky atmospheric trap beat with KOMPLETE NOW using reverse chops of arpeggiated chords played on their cutting edge Native Instruments KOMPLETE KONTROL S49 keyboard.
After laying down a dark melodic arpeggiated lead with CLOUD SUPPLY, The ANMLS begin the layering process with a series of contemplative chords from HYBRID KEYS. Then they reverse the arpeggiated lead, chop it up, load those chops in BATTERY, add stabs using MASCHINE MIKRO as a MIDI controller, and bathe it in atmospheric percussion with BATTERY NOW and RAUM.
With the sonic foundation firmly in place, The ANMLS add a soaring synth lead with LO-FI GLOW, a brassy bass sound with RETRO MACHINES, and a delay-drenched drop with CLOUD SUPPLY before processing the drums in BATTERY. Then they close it all out with a trunk-rumbling 808 from MASSIVE X, pensive melodic pads from HYBRID KEYS, and a series of atmospheric snaps from BATTERY.
