Making of IE 600 In-Ear Headphones | Sennheiser

This is rocket science, approved by people working in space. Sennheiser presents: 3D printing the housings for the IE 600.

For exceptional lifetime durability and a unique premium aesthetic, the housings for Sennheiser’s new audiophile headphones, the IE 600, have been 3D printed from ZR01 amorphous zirconium, which provides triple the hardness and bend resistance of steel. The rare materials used to create these ultra-tough earphone housings are normally used in satellites and by NASA for custom tools created for Mars Exploration Rovers and other missions in space.
