Using wide intervals in your picking patterns is a great way to add some ear-catching interest to your playing. It’s a simple concept, although it needs an accurate picking hand technique to execute effectively.
In this short video lesson, Elixir strings artist Marc Seal introduces the basics of the technique with some ideas that are easy to implement. Take some time to build up to speed and you’ll find it an invaluable tool to use in both rhythm and lead parts.
