Taylor Grand Orchestra Showdown: 818e vs. 618e

It’s GO time, as this Showdown segment spotlights Taylor’s largest body style, the Grand Orchestra. Aaron Dablow and Daniel Fraire compare two models: the 818e, featuring Indian rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top; and the 618e, which sports maple back and sides and a Sitka spruce top. Both guitars pump out a big, bold sound yet also respond well to a light touch. You’ll get to hear both playing applications with a strumming face-off followed by a fingerstyle demo. Let us know which acoustic personality you prefer in the comments below.
