Matt Johnson created his ‘Lyle’s World’ Montage performance as a homage to the late Lyle Mays, a significant influence on Matt’s playing and many keyboardists along with the broader music community. Matt recreated Lyle’s classic synth sound and layered it with a string machine. To complete the performance, Matt added a sub-bass patch on the low end of the keyboard.
