Gary Moore was an exceptional artist known for his soulful performances, emotive guitar playing, and captivating vocals. Starting his musical journey in 1969 alongside Phil Lynott, Moore quickly made his mark. From his early days with Skid Row to his time with Thin Lizzy and his illustrious solo career, Moore’s influence in the music world was profound.
In this episode, Thomas will talk about Moore’s incredible playing style, exploring his transition from hard rock to blues, his notable albums, and some of his killer licks and tones. Also Thomas will talk gear: from that famous Greeny ’59 Les Paul, to his ‘61 Strat and Gibson Les Paul Junior, he got from Peter Green to his Charvel, Ibanez, Hamer, Jackson, PRS und Heritage guitars that he usually played thru Marshall or Soldano Amps.
Geoffrey Whitehorn will share personal anecdotes and insights into the man behind the music, offering a unique perspective on Moore’s life and artistry.
