Bob Clearmountain on the Apogee Symphony ECS Channel Strip Plugin

The Symphony ECS Channel Strip is a brilliant piece of technology. It lets you really shape your sound and it’s so simple and basic to use.
The EQ section is based on vintage 1970s three-band hardware units that sound great pretty much at any setting. The compressor is so simple it’s really quick to set up even while you are tracking. You just plug it in and you’ll get a sound almost instantly. And it even looks like one of the original Apogee converters from the 80s which is one of the things I love about it.
With the drive you can dial in anything from subtle peak taming to hot saturation to full-on crunch. It will push any track to the front of your mix.
In fact, I just used the ECS Channel Strip on a Ronnie Wood live track. He had done a guitar overdub and it just didn’t sound live enough. So, I cranked it through the ECS Channel Strip, added some compression, EQ and drive to finish it off and problem solved!

"Does the Revolution 2×2 deliver on its promise to outperform other interfaces and converters that cost way more? My answer to that question is a definite yes. There’s a level of detail here, a sense of openness, true dynamics and the richness to the sound that you don’t find with lesser pro audio products." ~ Mitch Gallagher of Sweetwater

Black Lion Audio // Introducing the Revolution 2x2 featuring Studio One Artist

Introducing the Revolution 2×2 by Black Lion Audio featuring Studio One Artist! Modded out of the box!

Revolution 2×2 is a USB 2 channel portable recording interface built with the most cutting edge, high-end ICs. High-end Vishay, Nichicon, and Wima capacitors are used throughout the entire circuit. All internal gain-staging has been optimized for the very lowest signal-to-noise ratio. All of the analog I/O has not only been built with the finest components, but are fully decoupled and balanced — right to the very core of the convertor! Most manufacturers do not follow this practice, and that allows extra noise contamination during both capture and playback.

AT-LP120XBT-USB Overview | Direct-Drive Turntable (Analog, Wireless & USB)

The AT-LP120XBT-USB fully manual turntable is modeled after the AT-LP120XUSB, but adds the convenience of Bluetooth® wireless connectivity to the existing analog and USB outputs.

Featuring a specially designed DC servo direct-drive motor and adjustable dynamic anti-skate control, the AT-LP120XBT-USB plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records and outputs the high-fidelity audio to the device of your choice. Use the included RCA output cable along with the built-in selectable phono preamp to connect to your home stereo or powered speakers. Use the USB cable to connect to your computer and then download the free Mac- and PC-compatible Audacity recording software, or software of your choice, to start converting your records to digital audio files. Or use the Bluetooth wireless technology to pair the turntable with wireless speakers, headphones or other devices, including those that support the high-quality Qualcomm® aptX™ audio codec.

The turntable also features an S-shaped tonearm with adjustable tracking force and an AT-HS6 universal ½"- mount headshell with an AT-VM95E Dual Moving Magnet™ phono cartridge. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the versatile, high-performance AT-VM95E. The cartridge comes with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, but is also compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application.
